Pelikan Souverän K800 Ballpoint — Black

The Pelikan Souverän K800 in Black is the ballpoint that belongs in the same drawer as the M800 — the Souverän "L" size in black high-grade resin with 24-karat gold-plated trim, twist-action, for the notary's book, the carbonless form and the legal pad a fountain pen was never meant for. Twist it and it writes. Twist it back and it goes in a jacket with no cap to mind.

The body is Pelikan's high-grade resin, diamond-cut and self-polishing, so a pen that lives in a pocket keeps its finish. The trim is the same 24-karat gold plating as the fountain pen's, which is why the two read as a set on a desk rather than as a pen and its accessory. It arrives fitted with Pelikan's high-capacity refill in Medium, black.

Does it match the M800? Yes. It is the same size class and the same 24-karat gold trim, in black; it is the ballpoint half of that set.

Twist or push button? Twist. There is nothing to click and nothing to catch on a pocket lining; the smaller K400 is the push-button.

Does it write on carbonless forms? Yes. Pressure makes the copy, and pressure is what a ballpoint does.

Which refill does it take? Pelikan's high-capacity ballpoint refill. It arrives with one fitted, Medium, black.

Is the Pelikan warranty valid in the United States? Yes. Pelikan's three-year warranty against material and manufacturing defects has no geographical restrictions, and it covers the Souverän and Classic series. A defect is repaired, or the pen replaced, at Pelikan's choice. Claims go through us as the retailer, or to Pelikan directly with proof of purchase, and the details are in our Warranty Policy.
