Shipping policy
1. In Brief
Standard shipping is free on orders of $35 or more within the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Orders under $35 ship for $8. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and military addresses ship for a flat $19.95, whatever their size. You pay one shipping charge per order, however many parcels it arrives in. We do not ship outside the United States.

2.1 “Order total” means the total for the merchandise in your order, before tax.
2.2 Rates are flat. They do not change with the weight or size of your order.
2.3 If you return part of an order that shipped free and what remains comes to less than $35, we do not charge you for shipping after the fact.
3. Where We Ship
3.1 We ship to all fifty states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, and APO, FPO and DPO military addresses. We do not ship internationally.
3.2 We ship to PO Boxes where the carrier permits. If a product cannot go to a PO Box, we will contact you for a street address before it leaves.
4. When Your Order Ships
4.1 We hand your order to the carrier within two business days of order confirmation. Orders placed after 12:00 p.m. Eastern, or on a weekend or federal holiday, start on the next business day. Most orders move faster; two business days is our outside commitment.
4.2 Planners. Gallery Leather planners ship directly from the maker’s bindery in Trenton, Maine, in a gift box, under our name. They leave the bindery within ten business days. An unpersonalized planner usually goes within a few days; a personalized one, made to your order and foil-stamped by hand, usually within eight.
4.3 The carrier’s transit time is in addition to the time above.
4.4 If we cannot ship within the time stated, we will tell you, and you may either agree to the delay or cancel for a prompt refund. This is your right under the Federal Trade Commission’s Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, 16 C.F.R. Part 435.
5. Orders That Arrive in More Than One Parcel
Our products ship from more than one place, so an order may arrive in several parcels on different days, each with its own tracking number. You pay one shipping charge for the order, never one per parcel.
6. Orders of $500 or More
Orders of $500 or more ship with signature confirmation and declared-value insurance, at no additional cost. Someone must be present to sign. If no one will be home to sign, ship to your office.
7. Lighters
Every butane lighter we sell ships unfueled, as air transport regulations require. A new lighter that will not light has not failed; it needs butane, which we do not ship.
8. Lost or Damaged Parcels
8.1 We bear the risk of loss until the carrier records your parcel as delivered.
8.2 If tracking shows a parcel delivered and you do not have it, tell us within 7 days. We will take it up with the carrier and make it right.
8.3 If a product arrives damaged, our Returns & Exchanges Policy governs. We deal with the carrier; you do not.
9. Your Address
Please check your shipping address at checkout. We cannot redirect a parcel once it is with the carrier. If a parcel comes back to us as undeliverable through no fault of yours, we reship it once at no charge.
10. Firm Orders
These terms apply equally to orders from firms, companies and organizations, including orders through our For Firms channel.
11. General
11.1 This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Venue for any dispute lies in Lee County, Florida.
11.2 If any provision of this policy is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect.
