Before First Use

Wipe the cedar interior with a cloth dampened in distilled water, charge the humidifier by soaking it in distilled water and blotting it dry, then leave the case closed for 24 hours before loading cigars. Aim for 65% to 72% relative humidity at 65–70°F. Distilled water only — tap water carries minerals that stain cedar and foul the humidifier. Humidification supplies are not included and are widely available.

Load it the morning you leave, not the week before — and keep it out of a parked car. A travel case is built for days, not seasons; cigars belong in a desktop humidor between trips.

Questions we are asked

How many cigars does it hold? Four to eight, up to 7 inches long. The removable four-cigar bed stores them horizontally or vertically, and a strap holds them in place.

What comes with it? A humidifier, a guillotine cutter and a butane torch lighter, so the ritual travels complete. Humidification supplies are not included.

Can I fly with it? Not with the torch aboard. Torch lighters may not be carried on aircraft, so plan for that before you pack.

How long will it keep cigars? A weekend, not a week. Load it the morning you leave and keep it out of a parked car; between trips, cigars belong in a desktop humidor such as the Onyx.
