The flip-top lid opens past ninety degrees, which sounds like a detail until you are lighting a sixty ring gauge cigar and the lid is not in the way. Closed, it shields the burners from pocket lint and ash. A red fuel window tells you where you stand before you are standing outside a courthouse discovering otherwise.

Why we carry it. Most of what a maker claims about quality cannot be checked before you buy. A warranty can. Xikar covers these pieces for life against manufacturing defects, with no registration and no receipt required, and states plainly that it may return a refurbished equivalent rather than a new one. That is a commitment written down and honored by a named distributor, rather than a claim about craftsmanship you would have to take on faith. We curate Xikar on that.

Warranty. Covered by Xikar's limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, and by Barrister & Bespoke's own Thirty-Day Assurance for the first thirty days after delivery. After that, claims are handled directly by Quality Importers, Xikar's distributor — no registration or receipt required. Normal wear, misuse, and consumables are excluded, as are lighters confiscated by TSA or another travel authority. Lighters must be shipped empty of butane. A note for travelers. Torch lighters are prohibited in both carry-on and checked baggage, and confiscated lighters are not covered under warranty. Ships without fuel in compliance with hazardous materials requirements.

Returns. A lighter may be returned within thirty days if it is unused and in its original packaging. Every lighter ships unfueled; once butane has been added it is Final Sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, except where it arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from its description.
