Esterbrook Estie Ballpoint — Nouveau Bleu & Gold

Sale price$125.00

The Esterbrook Estie Ballpoint in Nouveau Bleu is the pen you hand across a desk without a second thought — marbled blue blended acrylic with gold-tone trim, weighted to sit where a signature happens. Where a rollerball flows and a fountain pen commits, a ballpoint simply works: on the carbon-backed form, on a legal pad braced against your knee, on the one line at the bottom of a page that has to be signed now. It is the safest gift in the range, because it asks nothing of the person who receives it.

The barrel is turned from blended acrylic and finished to a high polish, so no two are quite alike in figure. At a shade over full-size, it reads as a considered object on a desk rather than something handed out at a conference table.

Questions we are asked

Which refill does it take, and can I buy them anywhere? A Schmidt-style ballpoint refill (Esterbrook ref. E109 blue / E110 black); the format is common and any pen shop stocks an equivalent.

Is blue acrylic too loud for a courtroom? It is a dark, marbled blue that reads as navy at arm's length; nobody across a conference table will notice, which is the standard.

Is it a reasonable firm gift for a new class of associates? Yes — identical across a run, useful from the first day, and it asks nothing of the recipient. We do not engrave, so it arrives as the maker made it.

Fountain, rollerball, or ballpoint — which one signs? Read Fountain, Rollerball, or Ballpoint?

Built for the working signature and the carbon-backed form, not the flowing wet line of a rollerball — if you write long passages by hand, see the Estie Rollerball in Nouveau Bleu instead.

Barrister & Bespoke Curated Collection — hand-selected from Esterbrook, the American pen name founded in Camden, New Jersey in 1858 and revived in 2018, for its craftsmanship and fit within our world. Curated pieces carry their maker's own identity rather than ours; our house collection, designed and branded exclusively for Barrister & Bespoke, is marked separately throughout the shop.

Warranty. This Product carries Esterbrook's one-year factory warranty against mechanical failure and manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship, with an extended warranty available by registering the pen with Esterbrook after purchase, and Barrister & Bespoke's own Thirty-Day Assurance for the first thirty days after delivery. Full terms, including how to make a claim, are stated in our Warranty Policy.
